Carol Brandon, RN, BA began her career in the clinical trial industry in the early 1980’s by successfully creating a clinical research department in a multi-specialty group practice. Several years later she saw an opportunity to expand clinical research beyond the clinic and into private practices in the community and founded Concepts in Pharmaceutical Research, Inc. As a pioneer of the Site Management Organization industry Carol grew the company, training and employing Clinical Research Coordinators along the east coast and throughout the midwest. Soon after CPR’s pharmaceutical clients requested the company manage and monitor multi-center clinical trials which began the transition to a Contract Research Organization. Carol lead the company to establishing a global presence with offices in the U.S., Canada, France and the United Kingdom.
In a effort to accommodate the need for clinical trials with a growing pipeline of novel compounds, the pharmaceutical industry saw a need to expand clinical trials beyond academic institutions and into the community based physician practices. CPR trained thousand of physicians to become Investigators which today is the company’s primary focus.
